Carsten - 1 month old

It is almost impossible to believe that Carsten is already a month old! Time really does fly.  He has started having much longer awake times and discovering his voice.  He seems amused by all of the random sounds and coos that he can make.  He also recently started smiling, which is adorable.  It's been really hard to get a picture of him smiling, but I finally did yesterday (though not the best picture).  He is such a blessing in our lives and we continue to be thankful for such an amazing gift!

Brotherly Love

Jayden decided to show Carsten how his new Nintendo 3DS works.  It made for a cute quick photo opportunity.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Carsten enjoyed his very first Valentine's Day.  We surprised big brother Jayden by showing up at school for his Valentine's Day party!  Jayden did not know we were coming, and had a good time showing off his baby brother to his friends.  Jayden would not play along this year with his Valentine's Day shirt, but here's a few fun pictures of Carsten in his holiday attire.

2 Weeks Old!

Carsten is 2 weeks old already!  Yesterday (2/4/13) was his 2 week check up at the doctor, and he was really impressed with how well Carsten is doing!  He is now up to 9 lbs 3 oz and 21 1/2 inches long.  He is currently in the 70th percentile for height, the 75th percentile for weight, and 84th percentile for head size.  Needless-to-say, he is growing wonderfully!  He is an absolute joy :)

A Few Firsts

Carsten is doing very well, and we are all adjusting to our new family together; we couldn't be happier!  We wanted to share a few pictures of some of "Carsten's firsts."  When you are only 11 days old, it seems there are firsts all the time and we love getting to watch them all happen!
